n this, the inagural edition of News Briefs on The 103 Advantage, Business Manager Mike Monahan is featured in American Executive Magazine as a part of their corporate spotlight. The article focuses on the local's resurgence in the electrical construction market in Boston since Mike took office in 1999. Specifically how 103 has gained back marketshare and how many contractors they've signed in the same period.
Story number two congratulates local 103 apprentice George D'Amelio and his teammates for winning the silver medal at this summer's Skills USA nationals in Kansas City. Skills USA is a construction competition where a team of young men and women get together to showcase their knowhow and professionalism. George was the electrician on the team and was instrumental in thier success.
Finally, we welcome all of our new members from our latest organizing effort. Direct TV members in Boston were not being represented fairly according to them, so they decided to join local 103 after hearing about the numerous benefits of being part of our organization.
